80's Dutch Army NATO Field Jacket
The Netherlands was occupied by Germany during World War II and liberated by Allied forces. After the war, it joined NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization), adopted Veldtenue 58 (VT58) at the end of the 1950s, and was produced by MVO (Ministerie van Oorlog: Ministry of War) at the time. After the MVO was abolished and dismantled in 1959, production continued for a long time until the 1990s at KL (Koninklijke Landmacht) Dutch Royal Army. From such a historical trend, the Dutch army after the war was equipped with the weapons of the American army, and was greatly influenced by the American army.
This Dutch military field jacket is exactly what the Dutch military developed with reference to the US military M43 field jacket. However, there are many improvements. First of all, the armholes and body are made narrower than the original, so it doesn't look unfashionable. In addition, the diagonal pocket on the front chest is steeper than the original diagonal pocket, making it easier to take out items. There is stitching on the back of the collar and arrow stitching around the front button. Of course, there is a drawcord at the waist like the original, so you can tighten the waist and wear it. In addition, double buttons are placed around the cuffs, making it cooler than the original. In this sense, it is thought that it was made with considerable improvements based on the original M43.
Recommended for those who are tired of the US military, those who like military, and those who want to have it as a sampling. By all means, please enjoy making it as good as the original.
The size is equivalent to XL size. If you usually wear men's L size, you can wear it a little looser. Please consider referring to the dimensions below.
