Allegri was a raincoat manufacturer established in Italy in the 1960s, but since the 80s ARMANI has been the designer, and in the 90s Martin Margiela welcomed designers such as Romeo Gigli and MARITHE + FRANCOIS GIRBAUD. After that, VIKTOR & ROLF and others also welcomed, and it is still an OEM partner of ARMANI, and was once famous as an OEM partner of Martin Margiela.
Well, Maison Martin Margiela's men's line ⑩ started in 1999, but this coat was designed before that. Allegri's tags have changed over time, and the gray ones with zigzag stitched corners are from the era designed by Martin Margiela. Looking at it again, it's a light nylon fabric with batting that looks like between beige and khaki, and the shoulder is a raglan sleeve with two sleeves, so you can wear it with your shoulders down. The back of the collar is cut back in brown lamb leather and can be worn as a stand collar. What should be noted is that the front button cover and raglan stitching are not straight, but curved in the middle, giving the detail design a modern impression. In addition, the surface of the fabric has a thin rubber coating. In that sense, while carefully following the details of the Balmacaan Coat, you can somehow feel the avant-garde impression of Martin Margiela at the time. It is a very impressive dish when I think that many masterpieces rubber-coated with Artisanal were born later. Production is of course Made in Italy. This is why old clothes are so interesting.
Regarding the size, it is 46, but the Martin margiela of this era is 1-2 sizes larger than the current one, so it is equivalent to men's L size.
